The key to resilience?

What comes to mind when you think of resilience?

Putting on your 'armour', toughing up, being harder and stronger to withstand life's blows?

In last week's PAUSE podcast live, we had a fascinating conversation about resilience; a word that's used so much in today's world, with many people not really understanding what it means in practice for us at work and in life.

Resilience is a Latin word that means 'returning to the original form or position after being bent, compressed or stretched.'

Knowing the true root of the word took us on a journey to recognise that resilience for us was a process or practice of 'returning to our natural state'.

But for many people they don't know what their natural state is. Life and business is so busy and consistently stressful that we've lost awareness of what feels natural for us in the mind and body.

My natural state is calm, light, present, joyful, connected and responsive.

Do you know what your natural state is?
