Softening the grip of control

Softening my grip around the need for control has been something I’ve been working on for a few years.   I know many of you know me as super calm, soft and considered, which I am all of that, and underneath there’s always been a running tension of 'I'll get it done', ‘need to know’ and ‘my way’.

Sound familiar?   It serves us well, right. Until it doesn’t. Until the grip causes so much tension and frustration in the body and mind that you’re always stressed and can’t sleep or it fractures relationships.

Noticing my tendencies and learning where it serves me and where it doesn't (and most often it's the latter) has been expansive, liberating and illuminating!

It’s a theme that's alive for many at the moment so we sparked a conversation about in for our latest Big Little Things episode. We recorded this episode live and opened it up for others to join us and contribute to the conversation - which was awesome.  You can listen to the 'CONTROL' episode here

Some other cool stuff to share...

I was interviewed for one of Hong Kong's most listened to podcasts, Hong Kong Confidential (in the top 5 of HK Tatler's podcasts to listen to in 2020!) with host, Jules Hannaford. We talk everything from; busting some meditation myths, purpose v's happiness, how knowing your values and how you feel in your body informs how you show up at work and in relationships, my Reground & Reignite retreat + loads more. Listen to my episode 'Reground & Reignite' here.
