First coined by Behavioural Scientists in the early 1990s, the term Emotional Intelligence (EI) has been in the psychological and, through further development and popularisation by Daniel Goleman (and his book Emotional Intelligence: Why it can matter more than IQ), the leadership discourse for over 25 years.
It’s not a new concept, but it is more vital than ever in developing our very human capacities for today’s complex world.
In this 1-hour webinar, I will be discussing the four key elements of Emotional Intelligence, sharing a critical component that I believe is missing from the original framework - and enables us to develop EI across all of the other four elements, why EI matters in today’s complex, unpredictable, interconnected and increasingly AI-driven world, and I will be sharing some simple yet powerful practices to actively build and practice Emotional Intelligence to support your leadership, pivotal transitions at work, your relationships, and your health.
Join me for an informative, practical, reflective, and contemplative session for those interested in expanding your awareness and building on your Emotional Intelligence.
We will be discussing the following:
What is Emotional Intelligence (EI), the four elements from the framework, and a critical missing piece
Why it matters in an emerging AI world
How pivotal life and work events impact your nervous system and your behaviour, and how EI can support you in navigating challenging times
Expanding your EI with reflective practices, tools and embodiment techniques
